May 16th, 2010 How do I get more website traffic?
I would like to get more website traffic to get more blog and youtube views. I also just want a website that people will enjoy. Please help me with this because I would love to help people and get known. I’m not saying I wanna be like every other person in the world and be "popular" but I would like to get some views. You know, just have someone to talk to. Have some people to chat with. Anyway, please help me find a way for more website traffic. Thanks.

The best solution to your question is time. All those things take time. If people are interested in your blog or YouTube videos, chances are that they will tell their friends about it.
Sometimes, blogs with a ton of useful content are not found due to poor search engine optimization. I just started a blog two months ago and these two sites helped me the most. You might have already heard of them but: www.problogger.net and www.becomeablogger.com are amazing resources.

You’ll need time and work on SEO to start with. Constantly update your Blog with new content so visitors will have a reason to come back. Then start link building whether it’s a few of the following:
Social Bookmarking
Blog Commenting
Posting on Forums
Article Marketing
Of course make sure the site’s are in the same niche as yours. Since it sounds like your in it as a hobby and not money…don’t bother using any paid method. ex. PPC

There are so many ways you can start making money online without spending any thing or with a small investment for generating traffic
You can create your own blog and be an affiliate marketer for many companies and as you have your own website you can promote your website on your blog. That can generate a lot of free traffic to your web site.
You can also write articles about the products you are promoting on your website and submit the article on various free article directories. Article directories are a gold mine these days as people wants to read about the products they want to buy first and if you write an impressive article it will automatically drag them to your web site for free.
I know what you might be through; even I was in your shoes few years back when I started my online business as an affiliate marketer. But have trust in what you are doing my friend and don’t rush, just be focused on what you are doing right now

Try to optimize your web pages with keywords, bookmark your pages and submit your site to search engines and directories. You could also build pages at Squidoo, hub-pages and blogger with anchor text containing your keywords linking back to your website, submit the RSS feeds to RSS directories.
Write and submit articles to the article directories, once published bookmark the articles.

traffic strategies are constantly changing and its not easy to keep up. However, I have several solutions that will work. But the biggest solution is constantly advertising your site in as many places as you can. and of course TIME.
